1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by Mahalaxmi Packers and Movers ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ludhiana, Punjab. By requesting a quote, booking a move, or otherwise engaging our services, you ("customer", "you") agree to the terms set out below.
2. Our Services
We provide household shifting, office and commercial relocation, local shifting within Ludhiana, domestic relocation across India, packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, transportation, and storage assistance. The exact scope of service for your move will be confirmed at the time of quotation or booking.
3. Quotes & Pricing
- Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide (property size, distance, inventory, access conditions, etc.).
- The final price may vary if the actual inventory, distance, floor/lift access, or other conditions differ from what was shared at the time of quotation.
- Any additional charges (e.g. for extra items, packing material, or access difficulties) will be communicated to you before they are applied wherever possible.
4. Booking & Payment
A move is confirmed once you accept a quote and agree on a moving date. Payment terms (advance, balance on delivery, etc.) will be communicated and agreed upon before the move begins.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate details about the items being moved, including any hazardous, prohibited, or high-value items.
- Ensure someone is available at both the pickup and delivery locations on the scheduled dates.
- Inform us in advance of any access restrictions (narrow stairways, lack of lift, parking limitations, etc.).
- Pack and clearly identify personal, fragile, or sentimental items you prefer to handle yourself.
6. Rescheduling & Cancellations
We understand moving plans can change. Please inform us as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel a booked move, so we can adjust our planning accordingly. Any charges already incurred for materials or logistics arranged for your move may not be refundable.
7. Liability & Claims
We take reasonable care in packing, handling, and transporting your belongings. In the rare event of loss or damage during the move, please report it to us as soon as possible so we can review the matter. Liability, if applicable, will be assessed based on the specific circumstances of the move and the packing/handling arrangement agreed upon.
We are not liable for damage to items that were pre-packed by the customer, items not disclosed to us in advance, or damage arising from pre-existing wear, defects, or improper packaging by items not handled by our team.
8. Prohibited Items
We do not transport hazardous, illegal, flammable, or perishable items, or any goods restricted under Indian law, unless specifically discussed and agreed upon in advance.
9. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures in service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, road closures, or government restrictions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
